Reading-Our shared reading mini-lessons have focused on asking and answering comprehension questions and discussing how characters respond to major events or challenges in a story.
Writing-We are working on brainstorming topics for personal narratives, zooming in to a small moment, and writing details to bring the story to life. We are learning about collective nouns such as a pride is a group of lions and a school is a group of fish.
Science/Social Studies-Students need to be locate the 5 regions of Georgia on a map, compare and contrast the regions, and locate 3 of the main rivers (Chattahoochee, Flint, and Savannah) on a map. We will be starting our unit on matter at the end of the week by exploring the characteristics of each state of matter and how matter can change states.
