Math- We have been busy working on Problem Solving and 3-digit subtraction with regrouping. The students will continue to work on strategies to improve fact fluency the week after spring break.
Reading- During shared reading and guided reading times, the students will be focusing on adjectives and adverbs and what they are modifying.
Writing-In writing, we are continuing to read different version of the same fairy tale and the students write about their favorite version. The students will be writing letters to another 2nd grade student explaining their favorite version and providing reasons as to why it is their favorite. After spring break, we will be focusing on informational writing. The students will be learning how to write to explain how to do something.
Social Studies/Science- .The students have been learning about the roles of the president, governor, and mayor. They are going to have use the information they have learned and provide text evidence to explain which role is most important/beneficial. After spring break, the students will begin their unit on life cycles in both plants and animals.
